How do you say hilarious in Mandarin?

In an attempt to appeal to as many markets as possible (and get ridiculous lyrics stuck in their head too) Avril Lavigne recorded several "alternative language" versions of Girlfriend. She hit up Japanese, Spanish, Portugese etc. But my favorite HAS to be the Mandarin version. Swizzle played it for me in Israel but I didn't know they looped the lyrics over her video as well! So sit back, relax and enjoy the sheer absurdity of Avril.

PS-Note how sometimes the Mandarin has to be sped up because it contains more words than the English version.

Foundation or Spackle?

I'll admit it, I like Danity Kane (Showstopper! Show, show stopper!) and Aubrey is far and away my favorite girl in the group. But what the fuck is she doing to her face? It's like when you were in High School and the girls with bad acne would just OD on foundation and bronzer and think no one noticed. Well guess what? Misguided moments in advertising

Last night I was watching Tuesday's third-to-last episode of Veronica Mars (sniff) and I noticed something odd: instead of running standard commercials for the first 30 minutes of the show, it appeared CoverGirl had bought the ad time and was airing a makeover series instead. Great way to promote your product, sure. But what really threw me off was the tagline The CW had come up with for this campaign

Now I love the idea of The CW incorporating their initials into other aspects of the network, but this typography reads like “kwhat’s” not “see what’s”

So let’s hope The CW is a little more detail oriented in the future otherwise that network is headed down the Chitter

'Giggles The Clown' Jailed On Sex Charges

A man who worked at the Grand Junction Farmers' Market Festival as a clown named Giggles is accused of using the Internet to lure a child into having sex, Grand Junction police said.Antonio Eric Lazcano, 29, was arrested Friday by police officers on a warrant issued in Otero County.The investigation began when a woman in Rocky Ford, Colo., told law enforcement authorities that she found a photo of a naked man on her daughter's e-mail account.The mother then went online and pretended to be her daughter. She chatted with a man under police supervision and told him that she was 12.According to an arrest affidavit, the person chatting with her replied, "That's OK. I dated a 16 and 14-year-old girl." He had used the screen name "Tony805."Police said the man sent her Web camera images of him committing sex acts in front of the camera and then made arrangements with her for sex.

He listed his occupation as a clown and said he was "just clowning around till I find what I'm looking for."
